胡锦涛晤布朗 就国际金融体系改革达成共识
中国国家主席胡锦涛当地时间一日下午在伦敦会见英国首相布朗,双方就应对国际金融危机、推动国际金融体系改革等达成广泛共识。
胡锦涛说,二十国集团领导人相聚伦敦,共商应对国际金融危机之策,对提振民众和企业信心、稳定国际金融市场、推动恢复世界经济增长具有重要意义。全球各国都处在世界经济这条大船上,面对国际金融危机的狂风恶浪,只有大船上所有成员齐心协力,同舟共济,共克时艰,才能把世界经济这艘大船平安地驶向彼岸,才能把国际金融危机带来的不利影响减少到最低程度,尽早恢复世界经济增长。

China, U.S. pledge joint efforts to revive world economy
Chinese President Hu Jintao has told his US counterpart Barack Obama that China is ready to work together with the United States to bring about an early recovery of the faltering world economy.
During their first face-to-face talk as heads of state in London, both leaders shared the view that the stimulus measures taken by both countries have contributed to enhancing global economic stability. They agreed that a powerful financial system is crucial for reviving the world economic growth.
Obama noted that the United States and China have benefited from their strong economic relationship, and the two countries should continue promoting trade and economic cooperation on this basis.
Chinese president meets British PM on relations, financial crisis
Chinese President Hu Jintao says curbing trade and investment protectionism and reforming the world financial regime should be part of the measures to address the current international econommic situation.
Hu Jintao made the remarks during his meeting with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown ahead of the G20 summit in London.
The two leaders reached broad consensus on tackling the international financial crisis and on bialteral relations.
Brown said he hoped the London summit would boost the confidence of the international community and play a role in reviving the global economy.
Chinese, French presidents meet in London
President Hu Jintao has also met with French President Nicolas Sarkozy in London, saying the meeting signals a new starting point for the bilateral relations.
In a press communique issued Wednesday by their foreign ministries, China and France stressed the importance of their relationship and reiterated their adherence to the principle of non-interference in each other's internal affairs.
In the communique, France also pledged not to support "Tibet independence" in any form.
