beside / besides

beside: preposition meaning 'next to', 'at the side of'
biside：介词，表示“在……旁边”

Examples:
例句：

I sit beside John in class.
Could you get me that book? It's beside the lamp.

在班级里我坐在约翰旁边。
能帮我拿下那本书吗？就在灯旁边。

besides: adverb meaning 'also', 'as well'; preposition meaning 'in addition to'
besides：做副词时意思是“也”；做介词的时候意思是“除……之外”

Examples:
例句：

(adverb) Besides tennis, I play soccer and basketball.
(preposition) That is a beautiful lamp besides the table.

（副词）除网球之外，我还踢足球、打篮球。
（介词）除桌子之外，那灯也挺漂亮的。

clothes / cloths

clothes: something you wear - jeans, shirts, blouses, etc.
clothes: 你穿在身上的东西——牛仔裤、衬衫、上衣等等。

Examples:
例句：

Just a moment, let me change my clothes.
Tommy, get your clothes on!

等一下，让我换换衣服。
汤米，把你的衣服穿好！

cloths: pieces of material used for cleaning or other purposes.
cloths：用作清洁或其他目的的一片一片的材料。

Examples:
例句：

There are some cloths in the closet. Use those to clean the kitchen.
I have a few pieces of cloth that I use.

柜子里有几块抹布，拿来擦擦厨房。
我有几块能用的布。

dead / died

dead: adjective meaning 'not alive'
dead：死去的形容词。

Examples:
例句：

Unfortunately, our dog has been dead for a few months.
Don't touch that bird. It's dead.

不幸的是，我们的狗已经死去几个月了。
别碰那只鸟，它死了。

died: past tense and past participle of the verb 'to die'
died：动词“死”的过去式和过去分词形式。

Examples:
例句：

His grandfather died two years ago.
A number of people have died in the accident.

他的祖父两年前去世了。
许多人在事故中死去了。
