Now it's the time to bust a myth. And today Dr Rosenfeld will bust a myth about bananas. They are supposed to be so good for you?
They are good for you. And many people feel, when they finish eating a banana, they're satiated, they're not hungry any more, and they figure it must be very rich in calories, and must be, you know, full of.... Eat bananas, there're only 95 calories in a banana. There is very little fat, only half a gram of fat in a banana. It satiates appetite, and it contains an enormous amount of vitamins and minerals, potassium, all things are good for you. So don't worry about getting weight when you eat a banana.
So does that mean I can have a banana and raw broccoli salad?
Absolutely, sounds great.
