When Richard Stewart introduced his family to Alexandra Pappas, he said,"This is my wife Marilyn...And this is my mother, Ellen Stewart...and my father, Dr.Philip Stewart."
当Richard Stewart把他的家人介绍给Alexandra Pappas时，他说：“这是我的妻子Marilyn……，我的妈妈Ellen Stewart……我的父亲Philip Stewart大夫。”

Americans usually make introductions with first names and last names. They usually don't use Mr., Mrs., Ms.,or Miss in an introduction because they feel that these titles are very formal. In fact, if someone calls an American Mr., Mrs., Ms.,or Miss, he or she usually says, “Please call me Dave (Jane or Sandra)." Americans usually call you by your first name right away, too. When they use first names, they are being friendly, not impolite.
美国人在介绍时，通常是连名带姓一起介绍。但他们不常使用Mr., Mrs., Ms.或者Miss，因为他们觉得这些称呼太正式了。事实上，如果有人称呼美国人Mr., Mrs., Ms.或Miss，他们总是会说：“请叫我Dave (Jane或者Sandra)。”同样，美国人也常会马上直接称呼你的名字。 当他们叫你的名字时，并不表示他们不尊重你，而是一种有友好的表示。

But if you are not comfortable with calling someone by his or her first name, especially an older people, don't! Alexandra says,"Thanks, Mrs.Stewart."
但是你如果觉得叫他们的名字不恰当，特别十多年长的人，就不要勉强自己。正如Alexandra 的回答：“谢谢你，Stewart太太。”

Medical doctors, judges, college officials, military officers, and clergy are usually addressed with an occupational title, however. Examples of occupational title are Dr.Stewart, Judge Brown, Dean Rafer, Captain Snyder, and Father O'Hara.
然而当介绍医生、法官、大学的干部、军官和牧师时，一般要加上他们的职称。例如，我们要称Dr.Stewart（医生），Judge Brown（法官）， Dean Rafer（部门主任或校长）， Captain Snyder（上尉），and Father O'Hara（神父）。

Of course you can always be very polite and call a man Sir or a woman Ma'am if you are not sure of his or her name.
当然，如果你不知道对方的名字时，出于礼貌，可以称呼男士Sir（先生），女士为Ma'am（女士）。
