A. in time B. on time
我们来看看这两种说法有什么不同。
上图：They hoped the firemen would arrive in time.
上图：They hoped the firemen would arrive on time.
注：电话亭里的人说的是：Hello, fire brigade? Oh, good, could you please come at exactly 9:25 tonight? Ok, see you then.
If you do something on time, you do it punctually, at exactly the time that was arranged before.
所以，如果你想让消防员on time到你家，那么你要做的就像上期下面那张图片一样，你要事先预约一下，然后说“could you please come at exactly 9:25 tonight?”的确很让人捧腹。
所以，答案就是in time，表示early enough，也就是及时啦。
