1.Modem 猫（调制解调器）

A: Did you buy a modem with your new computer?
B: You are out of date. Modem is standard now on computers.

A：你的新电脑买“猫”了吗？
B：你落伍了，现在“猫”是电脑的标准配置之一。

2.Password 密码

A: As long as there is a password, there will be a way to break into a computer.
B: It's just like as long as there is a lock, there would be a key. How can you get around it?

A：只要有密码，就有侵入电脑的办法。
B：就像只要有锁，就一定有钥匙。怎么能绕过这个规律呢？

3.Mouse 鼠标

A: I admire the guy who invented the mouse. What a genius!
B: Are you sure it was a guy? Not a girl?
A: I'm pretty sure. I read the story somewhere.

A：我真佩服发明鼠标的人，真是个天才！
B：你怎么知道是个男人？就不能是个女孩吗？
A：我很确定，我在哪儿读过这个故事，是个男的。

4.Source code 源程序

A: As I understand, if you want to change software, you have to change to the source code，right?
B: Exactly!

A：据我所知，如果你要更改某个软件，必须要更改源程序，对吧？
B：完全正确！

5.Windows
 
A: With Windows and Office, Microsoft becomes one of the top companies in the world.
B: It definitely shows the power of software.

A：凭借Windows和Office系统，微软成为了世界上的顶尖企业之一。
B：这明确显示了软件的力量。
