Grant: Here’s a drink, Nate.

Nate: Thanks.

Grant: So what were you doing in there?

Nate: Thinking about my life. I’m a mean person. I don’t have any friends.

Grant: You are mean sometimes. But you do have friends.

Nate: Really? Why would anyone want to be my friend? I act like a jerk!

Grant: Nate, we’re all jerks sometimes.

Nate: I’m a jerk all the time!
