    Zero 7由Henry Binns及Sam Hardaker两位在伦敦当地录音室工作的伙伴一起组合而成，九零年代初期他们潜伏于录音室中，锻炼各种音乐制作上的技巧，并逐步发表他们改造别人歌曲的混音作品，其人以为英国摇滚名团Radiohead的"Climbing up the walls"以及Terry Callier的"Love Theme from Spartacus"最引人注目，展露精湛的制作功力，并与Pet Shop Boys及Robert Plant等巨星合作，在首张专辑《Simple Things》出版之前他们发表了两张少量生产的EP，造成了一股抢购搜集的热潮。

　　《Simple Things》一张集合各式轻松电乐感觉的作品，混融爵士、灵魂、放克等元素在柔缓的chill-out电音情调中，辑内的演唱歌声部份特别找到了Mozez,Sia Furler以及曾在Groove Armada、 Grooverider专辑中献声的Sophie Barker跨刀。音乐杂志形容他们是"英国的Air"，也有很多人喜欢把他们拿来和Morcheeba, Rae & Christian, Nightmares on Wax及早期的Massive Attack等乐团做比较，不过这些都不能确切地表达出Zero 7在此辑中的完美演出，不刻意地加入歌剧中受灵魂乐影响的女伶歌声，古典音乐的编曲风格以及带有迷幻气息的电子音墙，实在令人不得不赞叹这两位制作高手的深厚功夫。

　　NME音乐周报－８分，All Music Guide音乐网站－四颗半星，都给予此辑近满分的超高评价，而Zero7也以这张作品分别荣膺英国两大指针性音乐奖：水星音乐奖(Mercury Music Prize) "年度专辑"及全英音乐奖(Brit Award) "最佳新进团体"等提名。喜欢轻淡舒缓的如Air、 Groove Armada、 Bent这些人的电音作品的话，千万别错过Zero 7这张专辑，光是"In the Waiting Line"一曲中的曼妙曲调就足以让人流连忘返。
